Ocean Park Pond

This painting is a view of a fresh water pond behind the dunes at Ocean Hammock Park, St. Augustine Beach. These small, shallow, fresh water ponds form behind the first series of dunes at the beach and sustain a lush explosion of grass and shrubs. In October, the muhly grass makes a contrasting display of pink and coral against the green and gold that surround the ponds.
